Outsourced IT & Development, Finance & Accountancy staff, Philippines
Your Guide to Partnering with Yempo
1. Identify the skills you need that will free up your higher cost staff.
Let us know your requirements, be they IT Technical Analysts, Developers, or Testers. Maybe you need a bookkeeper or accountant? We source the best staff to meet your needs, personally screen them and submit a shortlist for your review. You interview the staff via a video call to determine their suitability for your needs. Give us the go-ahead and we make an offer to the individual in conjunction with police and other security checks.
2. Allocate a staff member in your home team to train the new hire.
Just as you would in your own office, you will onboard your new hire via video conference, using our robust infrastructure.
You might want to even consider traveling to the Philippines to meet your new hire. While it’s not necessary, why not visit your new staff member and add a vacation in one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world?
3. We do the rest! We take care of your staff, payroll, and employee compliance.
We ensure your staff members feel a part of the Yempo team in an excellent working environment while being dedicated and fully committed to only your business. We also provide you with cultural primers that will help you get the best out of your new employees. Building a whole team? We step back a little and support you in promoting your own culture into your offshore team.
You only need to ensure that your new IT and / or Accountancy staff are kept busy. Any performance concerns or issues, just contact us and we will take care of the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
GETTING STARTED
Q: What is offshoring? What is outsourcing? Which is Yempo?
A: Offshoring is where you set up your own office in a lower-cost location and manage all the intricacies of establishing and running a company in a foreign country. The staff you hire belong to your company and are subject to your company’s rules and regulations as well as local government compliance. Offshoring is typically not cost-effective for small businesses. Outsourcing is where you allocate roles or tasks to a third-party organisation, and they source the skills wherever they are best located. Yempo offers the best of both worlds – no need for you to worry about establishing an offshore presence, but the staff we hire on your behalf are 100% dedicated to your work.
Q: Am I taking jobs away from my own country? I’d prefer to support my local economy.
A: Many of the IT and Accountancy roles that small and medium-sized businesses need are hard to recruit in-country. In addition, outsourcing a portion of your headcount keeps your business competitive versus larger companies already benefiting from operating in low-cost locations. It also enables you to focus on building your business, which drives more income into your local economy.
Q: Don’t I need to fire staff to make offshoring pay for itself?
A: We don’t recommend you take this approach. Once you look at the activities that some of your highly paid local staff are performing, you will realize that their time can be put to much better use performing higher value activities, making them happier, more productive, and likely to contribute to increasing your sales. When staff leave by natural attrition, you could consider replacing them in an offshore location instead of in your own office. Our clients have Yempo-based team members who have regular face-to-face contact with their customers.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Yempo is a Western-managed company with offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Manila, and Cebu.
Q: What types of solutions do you provide?
A: Yempo is a specialist provider of outsourced accountancy and IT staff. We tailor-fit solutions to meet your business requirements. Our highly experienced staff are fluent in English and can fully assimilate with your business. Our specialty is ensuring your staff understand not only the business but also the cultural environment in which you operate.
Q: Do you have contracts?
A: Yes, we do. However, you are free to exit at any time, no penalties.
Q: How do I manage my outsourced staff?
A: We will provide options, tools, education, and support for managing your offshore staff. Yempo’s resource channel is packed with useful information. Invoices, holiday schedules, interview question guidelines, code of conduct documents; performance management and much more.
Q: How do I track productivity and attendance?
A: Our top priority is to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the service you receive. We can provide you with guidance on how to best manage your offshore staff such that productivity and attendance is never a concern.

DATA SECURITY & CONFIDENTIALITY
Q: How do I guarantee my data security and confidentiality?
A: At Yempo, we take great care to ensure that data integrity, security, and confidentiality are not overlooked. Unlike freelancing websites, we make it a prerequisite for all our team members to undergo a background check and sign a confidentiality agreement. We will work with you on how data is managed and how to best work with your staff to ensure you have no concerns.
EMPLOYEE WORKING HOURS
Q: What shift do the employees work?
A: All Yempo staff work the shift that is set by their client. The Philippines is a 24/7 society, so aligning with your time zone is no problem. There is a small salary uplift for staff who work between 10 pm and 6 am locally.
Q: Can my resources work overtime?
A: Yes, staff can work voluntary overtime. They don’t get paid for overtime that isn’t approved by you, and they cannot work unpaid overtime.
Q: Can my resources work more than 5 days per week?
A: Yempo’s standard is 5 working days and 2 rest days. If your business requires a longer week, we can chat about options.
Q: What is the shift length of staff?
A: Filipinos work a 9-hour shift with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break in the middle of the shift and 2 x 15-minute paid breaks in between.
Q: What happens on public holidays?
A: When there is a holiday in your country, you decide if you’d like the staff to work or if they should take planned time off. When there is a holiday in the Philippines, you decide if they work or not. There is a salary uplift if staff work on a Philippine public holiday, and other than Christmas, Easter and All Souls, Filipinos are typically happy to work the holiday in return for the extra cash.
EMPLOYEE EXIT OPTIONS
Q: What happens if an employee doesn’t work out?
A: During the 6-month probation period, it is very easy to exit a non-performing worker – we just need 2 days’ notice. If issues arise after probation, there are a range of easy options we can discuss with you.
Q: If my business changes, how do I release staff?
A: We always try to redeploy top talent to another client in the first instance, but if that’s not possible, staff are made redundant with their full legal entitlements plus an extension to their Health Insurance coverage.
FINDING AND RETAINING STAFF
Q: What does Yempo do to attract top staff?
A: Yempo is a premium employer in the Philippines, known for paying at least fair market salaries and offering exceptional employee benefits. We aren’t, and have never been a call centre, which means we have a very attractive culture to senior staff.
Q: What does Yempo do to retain talent?
A: As well as paying great salaries, excellent health insurance, and other financial benefits, Yempo has a trusting, empowering culture that drives loyalty and productivity. We have a strong Corporate Social Responsibility program – very important to Filipinos, and a full suite of in-person, online and virtual events to keep staff engaged.
COST
Q: How much does it cost?
A: We pass through to you the direct salary cost of your staff monthly, plus a fixed monthly fee. This covers their office accommodation, infrastructure, technology and HR compliance, and onboarding. Our rates are based on the high quality of our solutions while still being competitive. Offshore Accountancy and IT salaries are often 70% cheaper in the Philippines versus Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and the UK.
Q: What deposit do I need to pay to get started?
Q: How do I pay you?
